Overview

An AI and 3D imaging company needed to understand whether its avatar technology could scale profitably. We built a five-year financial and operational model across three product tiers, with the GPU runtime economics modelled explicitly.

The problem

The unit economics of generative avatar delivery are dominated by GPU runtime, which most models treat as a flat cost line. At scale that assumption breaks the forecast.

What we did

  1. 01Modelled three distinct tiers — pre-generated avatars for consumers, custom avatars via studio capture, and bespoke enterprise deployments.
  2. 02Costed GPU runtime across cloud and on-premise options rather than assuming a single provider.
  3. 03Modelled the scaling path from ten thousand users to millions of daily interactions, including spot instances, edge delivery and caching.
