2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our websites, our emails and communications, and our sales and marketing activities.

It does not cover websites or apps we build for our clients. When we work with personal information on a client's behalf, we act as their service provider and follow their instructions, and the client's own privacy policy applies.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and anything you include in a form, email, call or meeting with us.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, links clicked, referring website, and approximate location. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first. See section 6.

Information from other sources: business contact information from publicly available professional sources, such as professional networking profiles and company websites, used for business-to-business outreach.

4. How we use your information

We use it to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide our services;
  • send you information you have asked for;
  • contact you about services relevant to your business (you can opt out at any time);
  • understand how our websites are used and improve them;
  • measure and improve our advertising, with your consent where required;
  • keep our websites and systems secure and prevent fraud;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We rely on: your consent (for non-essential cookies and certain marketing); performance of a contract (to provide services you request); our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business, communicate with business contacts, and keep our systems secure); and legal obligations.

We use strictly necessary cookies to run our websites. With your consent where required, we also use analytics and marketing cookies and pixels, for example from Google, Meta and LinkedIn. 7. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with:

  • service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, customer management, analytics, advertising and payment providers;
  • our team members and contractors, some of whom are located outside the United States, and all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations;
  • professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants;
  • authorities, where the law requires it;
  • a buyer or successor if our business is sold or restructured.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookies may count as "sharing" personal information under certain US state laws. You can opt out using "Your privacy choices" at the bottom of every page.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and work with team members in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the UK or EU, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism where required.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

  • enquiries that don't become clients: up to 24 months;
  • client and business records: for the length of the relationship and as long as the law requires afterwards (for example, financial records for 7 years);
  • analytics data: according to the settings of the analytics tool.

10. Security

We protect personal information with measures including multi-factor authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, and regular staff training. No system is completely secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct or delete it;
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • receive a copy of it;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • opt out of marketing, and of "sale" or "sharing".

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually 30 to 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

12. Children

Our websites are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Other websites

Our websites may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post any changes here and update the effective date.
